Your bank data comes through Australia’s Consumer Data Right. An accredited provider collects it with your consent. We never see your passwords and we can’t move your money. Withdraw your consent any time and we’ll delete the data.

We do sell cohort-level insights that cannot identify you, and you can opt out any time without losing points. Your banking data is never shared without your consent. Partners get your details only when you take the step.

Marketing

Marketing is opt-in, and always reversible

Every message carries a working unsubscribe, honoured within five business days. Turning marketing off never affects your points or your access.

Never used for marketing

We never use open banking data for marketing. No offers built on your transactions.

Ad platforms get very little

Technical and usage data only. Never your banking data, your points activity or your Readiness Score.

Who actually collects your bank data

Not us. We are not accredited under the Consumer Data Right. Yodlee is the accredited data recipient, with Effi as its CDR representative. They collect the data with your consent and share it with us so we can verify your rent. We never collect, hold or use credit reporting information, and we never obtain your credit score or credit report.

Where your data goes

    You log in with your bank, on your bank's own screen. We never see your password and we cannot move your money.

  2. Yodlee

    Accredited data recipientWith your consent

    Collects the data under the Consumer Data Right, with your consent. Effi acts as its CDR representative.

  3. Your Occubuy account

    Receives verified rent payments so we can pay you points. Consents last at most 12 months and you can revoke them any time.

Occubuy is not on this chain. We are not accredited under the CDR and never collect data from your bank ourselves.

Before you first connect we ask separately for permission to use the data for points, categorisation, goals and your Readiness Score. That consent is its own step, and you can withdraw it.
